Start of much work
Well here I go again.
I ‘fell into’ web stuff in January 2009 where I got a job that i thought i could do and then found out quite a lot more was expected than I had beleived and that I didnt know half as much as I thought I did – the last 6 months have been spent eating, sleeping and drinking all things webby. And its been an absolute blast! Long way to go but really glad I was put in a position where I HAD to learn.
I made my first site with flat xhtml and css on a free hosting package but free hosting isnt very exciting is it? Although im a fan of traditional pages there’s so much stuff out there from PSD layouts to Content Managements Systems that I want to play with as much as I can.
Ive been mucking about with some ideas at work and off line building templates and sites with joomla and xxamp, and now i have new hosting which means I can actually start doing some of the things id like to do but cant do with the work site.

Ive abandoned my old xhtml site and the joomla site im building offline isn’t ready yet so i don’t have anything to actually ‘make live’ just now – so i installed wordpress and uploaded the first gothy looking theme i came across on the first search result i got from google – took about 2 minutes 
Unfortunatley getting all the rest of the stuff sorted out will require much work, late nights smoking of ciggarettes and frustration – its a very strange hobby ive become compelled to take up!
yeh but it is fun when you crack a css problem though – you know what im talking about right?
Been sweating away in bedford fighting with an old baseunit with 224mb ram and bits of norton in its registry that had mcafee put on top of – wouldnt boot in safe mode. Not a tricky problem just an infuriatingly slow one after 2 hours of stopping services, downloading and running norton removal tool – futile attempts to get malware bytes to run in safe or normal mode I have decided to nuke the site from orbit and re-install xp pro – its the only way to be sure, would have been quicker to do that in the first place! Coupled with the 30 mile bus journey and hottest day of the year i reckon im just going to have a cold beer and watch battlestar galactica razor right now, slightly more appealing than beating this site into shape!
